Young people training together in a Sacramento park

What we do

We meet kids where they are.

Sometimes that means welcoming them into the gym. Sometimes that means bringing the gym to them.

More than a workout

Fitness is the tool. Relationship is the mission.

The Overcome Project removes barriers by providing professional fitness programming completely free of charge. Coaches learn names, build relationships, encourage kids through difficult things, celebrate progress, and keep showing up.

Free community fitness

Every week, we offer two free youth fitness classes at Iron Mile Fitness that are open to any young person who wants to participate.

No membership. No program fee. Just show up.

Group homes at Iron Mile

A partner residential home regularly brings its youth to Iron Mile Fitness to train in a full gym environment alongside our coaches and become part of the larger Overcome community.

A full gym. Consistent coaches. A community that knows their names.

We bring Overcome to them

For residential programs whose youth cannot easily leave their facilities, our coaches bring workouts, equipment, mentorship, encouragement, and consistency directly onsite.

Our mobile fitness trailer takes the experience beyond the walls of the gym.

Different kids. Different circumstances. Same mission.

Movement. Mentorship. Belonging.

Help us keep showing up

The Overcome Project

Every kid deserves someone who keeps showing up.
